How much does it cost?

There's no fee at all for the first 30 days. After that you'll pay only US$29.95 per month for hosting.

Can I cancel if I want to?

There’s no long-term contract: You can cancel at any time. At the end of each month your hosting contract automatically renews until you decide to cancel it. Cancellation must be requested via the Creataplace.com website or support email at least three (3) days prior to the end of the month.

Can I have my own domain name (www.mynamehere.com)?

Absolutely! You get your very own domain name when you create your site. It will look like this: yourname.creataplace.com. If you already own a domain, you can contact us to connect it all up.

Can I put my logo on my Creataplace site?

You certainly can. Email your logo to us and we’ll put into place. If you don’t have a logo, that’s ok too! Your company name will appear on your site instead.

What if I don’t have any photographs or images of my work?

Get some! You’ll need some images to build your Creataplace site. Creataplace requires that photos meet certain minimum sizes, so your images shouldn’t be really small. Don’t worry about complicated resizing issues though — Creataplace does all of that for you.

Are there any fees to update my site?

Nope! Your monthly hosting fee allows you to access and update your site at any time through your web browser. Simply log-in, make any changes you want, and log-out.

Do I need any special software to update my site?

Absolutely not. All the tools you need are available once you log-in.

Will my site be listed in Google and the other major search engines?

We’ve done everything we can to optimize your site for search engines. Just one less thing to worry about.

What browsers are supported?

For Windows: Mozilla Firefox 1.5 (or greater) and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or greater)
For OS X: Mozilla Firefox 1.5 (or greater) and Camino 1 (or greater) are supported. Please note: Safari is NOT supported

Is my site secure?

Yes, your site is password-protected so no one but you can make changes to it.

Can you write my copy for me?

We can put you in touch with a copywriter if you don’t feel comfortable writing. Here are some pointers if you are writing your own copy:

• Keep it brief! People read a lot slower on the web, so short sentences and paragraphs are best.
• Only say what’s absolutely necessary. When in doubt, cut it.
• Make it interesting.
